Snowy Owl is back!

A Snowy Owl was along Langstaff Line early this morning.  It has been almost two weeks since I have seen one along there so I guess it was hiding somewhere! (photos with Canon G16)

Yesterday afternoon was just too nice to stay in.  I took a quick ride out to the St. Clair River.

There is some open water close to Cathcart park due to the outflow from OC Industries.  Some ducks were in close.

However, I saw another victim of the harsh winter.

There is the odd small open patch here and there.  Some of these are smaller than your bedroom square footage!  Ducks are using these from what I saw this morning.  Did not get any photos though.

  3. I was joking about snow in June, but it looks like a cold spring and there may very well be some snow still on the ground on the west side of Pelee into May.
