Another posting, if anyone is listening... No surprise really, but I spotted a female Dickcissel at the Port Lambton field this evening. I had not seen a male in almost two weeks I think. Perhaps they nested there after all?
Little happening today as it was a bit rainy with some sunny breaks. On break around noon, a Fiery Skipper briefly settled just outside the workshop door. I probably had one around there last year, but these things are getting so common anymore who can remember.
Speaking of common things anymore are the Sandhill Cranes I see on the way to work every day. This evening two were in the same field again when I went out to check for the Dickcissel.
