Ridgetown Sewage Lagoons is THE place in Chatham-Kent for shorebirds right now. I went down again this evening. Not much different than Monday. Practically the same birds! At least 100 shorebirds were in the small cell behind the building.
The Red Knot was still present and the Red-necked Phalarope finally showed. About 6 Stilt Sandpipers, 1 Baird's Sandpiper, 1 Solitary Sandpiper were present among the other shorebirds. A single Dunlin was also feeding--the first I have seen this fall I think.
A few other birds were in the cell with the viewing stand.
Hundreds of Canada Geese are around as well.
Didn't bother taking the camera along tonight as it was too late in the day.
