Hi Blake, You mentioned up on the right side that it was a quiet day for insect-eating birds. Not here! Swallows were bailing west (south?)along the lakeshore all morning and much of the afternoon. I was only watching for about 2 hours and had 155 tree, 2 barn, 1 rough-winged and 5 purple martins. All of them were flying just over the water and were in a hurry! I also had a ruby-crowned kinglet and a gnatcatcher here late this afternoon.
