The River
Just a quick post...
The ice was moving by Port Lambton at noon today, but stopping farther down.
Some Mute Swans (10), Canada Geese and mergansers were taking advantage of the open water towards the Michigan side.
The open water at the Sombra ferry dock has shrunk considerably. A hybrid Mallard X Black Duck was amongst the ducks yesterday.
Some Ring-necked and Gadwall ducks were near Cathcart Park on Monday. First Gadwalls I have heard of in a while. Very few Ring-necked this year.
