Odes on the Sydenham

Common Whitetail

I did not get out till after supper tonight to look around, so there was limited action.  I just went up to McKeough CA and walked along the river and road.  Flag-tailed Spinylegs were out this week and I saw a couple this evening, but they were not too approachable.

A Pronghorn Clubtail stopped in front of me on the road.

The Sydenham is a good river to check for uncommon to rare odes,  not to mention other things.  I am not really into dragonflies that much, so I do not do too much looking.  Last year a number of Mocha Emeralds were found in the more shaded spots.
Earlier this week I photographed a Royal River Cruiser--one of my favourite.  Apparently Illinois River Cruiser has also been found along the river.

In other news, Yellow-throated Warblers are still at Rondeau.  Two were seen yesterday. I have no doubt they nested!

Finally got out for a test run in a boat I recently restored.  It was a nice morning for a boat ride along the Snye.
