No, I have not been banned from Shrewsbury in south Chatham-Kent. 😌
On Sunday, a Barred Owl was found in the little village of Shrewsbury by a local resident. It was eventually found again Monday morning for many birders to see. It was well-hidden though, so difficult to get a clear photo!
This species of owl is rather rare in in SW Ontario, probably due to lack of habitat. Many will remember the one that spent the winter at Rondeau Park in 2018-19. Everyone got to see that one eventually!
Here is another that I saw at John E. Pearce P.P. a few years ago.
Always a treat to see this owl!
