Late July Leps

After work today I ventured into Reid CA on this breezy day.  A few Dukes' Skippers were working the sedges.

The odd Appalachian Brown was seen, but they are nearing the end.

Battered Brown!

Another brood of Giant Swallowtails is out, but I never got any photos.  Lots of Eastern Commas were out as well.  They were in various states of wear.

A fresh Least Skipper perched for a photo.

Some Northern Broken-Dash were taking advantage of the abundant Swamp Milkweed.

A couple of Royal River Cruisers were patrolling the trails.

No hairstreaks were seen, but they are about done.  There were rather few this summer anyway.

Photos taken with Canon G16.
