Another Soggy Sunday

Seems we do not get two nice days in a row this spring!  Weather along Lake Erie has consistently been poor, at least in Chatham-Kent.  Northern CK is always better!
Poored rain and was cold and windy yet again at Rondeau this morning.  Birding in the rain can be good at times, but if there are no birds, like today, it is horrible!

Yellow-rumped Warblers are still the main warbler type around.

Virtually nothing was flying on the lake either.  Lots of gulls, especially Bonaparte's were inland.
I met up with John Lamey at Erieau.  A bit of movement there, but nothing unusual.  We also checked out Blenheim Lagoons.  The Eared Grebe was still enjoying Pond 3.  More Horned Grebes have come in. Perhaps up to six there now.
Lots of Dunlin and other shorebirds including 2 Wilson's Phalaropes. Seems nobody else saw the Marbled Godwit on Friday except me.  Another case of being in the right place at the right time.  It is always a nice to bird to find as there are some years I miss it.
Some birds dropped into the neighbourhood today.  Two Veery and an Ovenbird were in the yard.  A Wood Thrush was singing nearby late this evening. Pine Siskins are still here.
