American Lady
I checked out the Dukes' Skippers at the end of Shuster and found about a half dozen. At one point three of them were duking it out (no pun intended!).
Dukes' Skipper (?) at Reid CA
Other skippers included Silver-spotted and Dun.
Still lots of Snout around. This one was bit shy...
I tried hard to find Juniper Hairstreak, but struck out. Bob Yukich had a couple last Thursday though.
Interesting birds included a Tufted Titmouse (about 300m south of West Beach P.L. along the beach). Obviously a post-breeding wanderer. One Least Flycatcher along the trail. Lots of Yellow Warblers and Gnatcatchers.
That strange mammal was still along the West Beach Trail....
I wonder what the story is behind the mystery mammal.
ReplyDeleteYou forgot that you saw the worminator!
ReplyDeleteHey Blake. Jeremy and I went out on Sunday and checked out the west side (see my blog) we had no Little Yellows! Couldn't believe it! Oh, and that mystery mammal is pretty darn scary!
