Quiet Day

A Few Turkey Vultures Were out Today

It was a slow day. I went down to Rondeau anyway, but there were very few birds. We covered a good part of the park, and were done by 10 a.m.!
New for the year was a Vesper Sparrow in the picnic area.
Thousands of Red-breasted Mergansers were on the lake today.

Another Dry Slough!

Only two Eastern Comma butterflies today. When I got home, there was a Cabbage White in the yard, which was new for the year.

It is too nice too early! Not a good sign. And we need rain!

Shifting Sands on the East Side

Lots of Wood Ducks around lately
Post-script: The Burk's had an early Caspian Tern at Erieau late today!
